Return to: Department Information Population growth and increased demands in the nation’s infrastructure have created a demand for skilled and certified technicians. The Transportation and Manufacturing Technologies Department (TMT) offers programs designed to prepare students to begin a technical career in aircraft, automated industrial process, advanced manufacturing, machining, diesel and automotive, body repair, collision technologies. Further, the Transportation and Manufacturing Technologies Department provides workforce training that meet or exceed certifications requirements from national organizations such as the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), National Automotive Technician Education Foundation (NATAF) to include ASE and I-CAR and the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM). Upon entering the job market, graduates are likely to begin their career as an aircraft maintenance technician/mechanic, automated manufacturing maintenance technician, mechatronics technician, electronics & instrumentation maintenance technician, auto collision and repair maintenance technician, industrial machinist, and diesel technology maintenance technician/mechanic.
