Bookkeeping Specialist, Level 2 Certificate

The Bookkeeping Specialist Level 2 Certificate introduces students to basic steps of the accounting cycle, industry standard accounting system software, spreadsheet development and payroll accounting for candidates seeking an entry level bookkeeping position. Emphasis is on a small business setting and workforce preparation skills.

Note: This Certificate is not for “Accounting” majors as it does not transfer to a 4 year Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in “Accounting.”  Students seeking a 4 year BBA degree in “Accounting” must follow the Associate of Arts (AA) degree, Business Administration and Management FOS: Pre-Major “Accounting.” Instead, with this Certificate students may pursue the Bookkeeping Specialist, AAS degree to transfer to a BAAS workforce degree with “Business Concentration,” not “Accounting” major at Texas A&M SA.
