President’s Message

Thank you for selecting St. Philip’s College to pursue your education and achieve your career goals.

For over 120 years, St. Philip’s has been educating a diverse student population who are ethical, life-long learners causing generational impacts. In 2018, we received the Governor’s award, the Texas Award for Performance Excellence and the Alamo College’s District achieved the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. St. Philip’s is committed to being the best in student success and performance excellence: in 2020 we received the Texas Award-Next for Performance Excellence.

There is a place for you in the St. Philip’s College family. With over 65 degree and certificate opportunities, it is my heartfelt desire to ensure that we do all that we can to help you walk in your passion. Our College values and welcoming environment create a spirit of belief and hope that together, we can all be successful in the journey to successful completion and graduation.

As you begin your studies at St. Philip’s College, I encourage you to take advantage of the many opportunities and support systems available. I invite you to continue your engagement with this wonderful institution after completing your studies and become a “friend of St. Philip’s College” through our alumni association.

Your experience at St. Philip’s will not only help you be successful in life, it will also afford you the opportunity to build lifelong friendships and memories. My wish for you this year is that you take to heart the words of our first president, Saint Artemisia Bowden, It takes faith, hope and persistence to make a dream a reality.

Have a wonderfully engaging school year.

Sincerely,
Adena Williams Loston, Ph.D.
President
