    This field of study/voluntary transfer compact in Mechanical Engineering prepares students to transfer to Engineering schools for continued study in Mechanical Engineering as well as other fields of science and engineering.  Based on the student’s placement level and high school background, the student may have to complete MATH 1414, College Algebra, and/or MATH 2412, Precalculus, before enrolling in Math 2413, Calculus I.

    The Mechanical Engineering Voluntary Transfer Compact was developed by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board along with numerous Texas community colleges and universities.  Students following this plan should consult with an advisor for guidance.
