Return to: Department Information The Electronics and Information Technology Department offers a wide variety of Academic and Professional degrees and certificates to meet the needs of our students. Day and night classes are available –completion time is the same whether students choose a day or night schedule.
AAS Degrees are offered in Biomedical Technology, Computer Maintenance, Computer Maintenance with Network Specialization (Cisco), Desktop Support Specialist, Network Administration (Microsoft), Network Security, and Power Generation and Alternative Energy.
A certificate is offered in Computer Maintenance, Cisco Systems, Advanced Cisco Systems, Network Professional, CompTIA Server+, Desktop Support, Network Security, and Power Generation and Alternative Energy.
Marketable Skills Award Certificates are offered in CompTIA A+, CompTIA Net+, Electronics and Alternative Energy.
Classes are sequenced and only offered once each year. Students should take the class when offered or they will experience a one year delay in graduation.
Prospective students with industry certification such as CompTIA A+ or Net+ can substitute more advanced courses for required course which address computer or network fundamentals.
In some unique cases, credit can be given for industry experience or, alternatively, students can challenge a course by taking and passing a final exam. Regular tuition and fees apply when students challenge a course.
Some programs have requirements for background checks and/or drug testing. Background checks and drug tests are at the student’s expense.
