Return to Programs and Courses - Applied Electrical and Mechanical Technology Return to: Programs and Courses - Applied Electrical and Mechanical Technology

The Computer Maintenance with Network Specialization Degree is designed for students who desire a career in the information and communication technology fields with a focus on local and wide area networking.  In addition to providing an introduction to personal computer hardware and software, the program utilizes Cisco Academy Curriculum to provide students with hands-on training ability to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot medium-size route and switched networks, including implementation and verification of connections to remote sites in a WAN. A wide variety of technologies such as hands-on labs and virtual laptop and desktop learning tools are used to help students develop critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills. Simulation-based learning activities promote the exploration of network and networking security concepts and allow students to experiment with network behavior.  The specialist skills you’ll develop are very much in demand, and will usually lead to working for a major corporation or other large establishment.
