The Associate of Science degree with a concentration in Mechanical Engineering prepares students to transfer to Engineering schools for continued study in Mechanical Engineering, as well as other fields of science and engineering. Based on the student’s placement level and high school background, the student may have to complete MATH 1414, College Algebra, and/or MATH 2412, Precalculus, before enrolling in Math 2413, Calculus I.
St. Philip’s College participates in the Voluntary Mechanical Engineering Transfer Compact developed by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, along with numerous Texas community colleges and universities. This degree was developed in support of that compact. Students following this degree plan should consult with an advisor for guidance.
