IDST 2372 - World Civilization to the 15th Century Study of the cultural histories of particular civilizations important for understanding the modern world: classical Greco-Roman civilization, China of the Han and Tang dynasties, Latin America, medieval Europe, Islam in the Middle East, and Africa through the fifteenth century. Within a general framework of political, social, and economic history, the course emphasizes the literature, philosophy, art, and music of each of these civilizations.
