The Cake Decorating Level 1 Certificate provides an introduction to cake frosting foundation and technique, cake assembly techniques and concepts of cake decorating including production of decorated cakes using a variety of basic, intermediate, and advanced piping techniques. Students will learn required skills, concepts, and techniques for preparing wedding cakes, including advanced skills in using marzipan, modeling chocolate, rolled fondant, gum paste flower making, and royal icing piping work.
