Communications and Learning 

The Communications and Learning Department offers courses in six disciplines: English, Integrated Reading and Writing, Speech, Foreign Languages, Education and Student Development.  The discipline of English includes two college-level composition courses, technical writing, and literature courses.  Integrated Reading and Writing includes one developmental course and two co-requisite courses paired with college-level Composition I.  Speech features courses from Introduction to Speech Communication to Oral Interpretation.  Core courses such as Spanish are part of the Foreign Languages discipline.  Education includes introductory courses to the teaching profession, and Student Development focuses on learning strategies for success in college.
