MATH 1442 - Elementary Statistical MethodsPrerequisites: MATH 0303 with a grade of "C" or better, or equivalent This course is a non-calculus introduction to statistics. Topics include the presentation and interpretation of data (using histograms and other charts, measures of location and dispersion, and exploratory data analysis), elementary probability and probability distribution functions (binomial, normal, t, chi-square), confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, correlation and linear regression, analysis of variance, and the use of statistical software.
