Payroll Clerk Certificate

The fields of activity in accounting may include keeping the books for one’s own small business or working within a corporation or government agency in jobs that entail taxes, budgeting and controls, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, and payroll.

Students beginning the program are introduced to the steps of the accounting cycle, trained to solve manual accounting problems, and then acquainted with computerized accounting. Successful accounting training is done through a hands-on approach which integrates principles with other business software applications such as spreadsheets, databases, and word processing.

A one-year certificate in Payroll Clerk may be obtained after completing the suggested 24 credit hours.
