Population growth and increased demands in the nation’s infrastructure have created a demand for skilled and certified technicians. The Aircraft, Construction and Manufacturing Technologies Department offers programs designed to prepare students to begin a career in aircraft, manufacturing, and construction technologies. The Aircraft, Construction and Manufacturing Technologies Department provides workforce training that meet or exceed certifications requirements from national organizations like the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER), National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), American Welding Society (AWS), Plumbing and Heating Cooling Contractors (PHCC). The department works with the Continuing Education division to provide customized training for local employers and community-based organizations. Upon entering the job market, graduates are likely to begin their career as aircraft mechanics, carpenters, machinists, plumbers, and welders.
