PHYS 1401 - General Physics I

Prerequisites: MATH 2412 or MATH 1316 with a C or better, or MATH 1314 with a C or better and department permission

Writing Basic Skills Prerequisite (Fall 2013): ENGL 0301
Reading Basic Skills Prerequisite (Fall 2013): READ 0303
Integrated Reading & Writing Basic Skills Prerequisite (Spring 2014): INRW 0420
This course fulfills the requirement for a technical course in physics with a laboratory component for programs such as medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and architecture. The fundamentals of mechanics, heat, and sound are presented in a problem solving context. Computer applications relevant to course content may be utilized.
